FISHERS, Ind. (21Alive) – An Indiana State Police Trooper is behind bars after causing a disturbance at a restaurant early Sunday morning.

Officials say a little before 2 a.m. Christopher Dyer, a two-year veteran with ISP, was waving a gun at a restaurant near I-69 and 96th Street.

When police arrived, Dyer was gone, but he was later found walking down the street and he had a gun with him.

Dyer was arrested and taken to the Hamilton County jail on charges of criminal recklessness with a handgun, resisting law enforcement, public intoxication, and disorderly conduct.

Once Dyer has posted bond, he will be placed on administrative duty.
