FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A Fort Wayne man pleaded not guilty at his initial court appearance for the death of another man.

39-year-old Aung Kyaw Thu is charged with a Class-B felony of aggravated battery for the stabbing death of 20-year-old Ar Lee.

Police found Lee lying in a pool of blood July 6th outside an apartment in the 6000 block of Bunt Drive.

Detectives say Thu stabbed and killed Lee after an argument.

The Allen County Coroner ruled that Lee bled to death and became the 13th homicide in Allen County this year.

Friday morning, Thu asked for a public defender and will be back in court August 29th.
