ROANOKE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Kindergarten students from Roanoke Elementary School spread a little holiday cheer Thursday morning.

The students went caroling at Lutheran Children's Hospital. They filled the halls with sounds of the season and learned some sign language to accompany the songs.

We're told the music lifted the spirits of patients.

"It was really nice of them to do that," Ebony, a patient at Lutheran, said. "Its like paying it forward. It was really awesome, because people who can't really hear and are deaf can see and understand them and what they're saying and everything."

This is an annual tradition for the school.
