South Bend Airport Is Going International

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (21Alive) -- It was announced today that the South Bend Airport is becoming an International Airport, according to FOX28.

The announcement was made at a press conference this morning at 10:00. Officials with the South Bend Airport said they have flights to the Bahamas and Mexico planned and are looking into flights to Europe. The upgrade includes a $3 Million expansion that will be funded by state, federal, and airport funds.
