KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Kosciusko County officers arrested two men Friday afternoon after deputies located six meth labs in a vacant home.

A concerned caller notified authorities of unexpected activity occuring at 969 South and CR 400 West at 2:11 p.m. yesterday after they witnessed two men pull up to the vacant home on a moped.

Lieutenant Chris McKeand with the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department was first to respond and approached the garage area where he quickly recognized the odor associated with the production of methamphetamine. Both suspects began to flee as McKeand approached, but one suspect, 28-year-old Eric W. Heiman from Warsaw, was unable to get away.

Upon arrival, assisting officers worked to establish a perimeter while Indiana State Police Trooper Ryan McNamara and his canine unit were able to flush the second suspect from a tree lined area. Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers arrested the second suspect, Gabriel Raymond Fields, 27, also from Warsaw and preliminarily charged him with felony manufacturing and possession of methamphetamine. Heiman was preliminarily charged with felony manufacturing and dealing methamphetamine.

Drug Task Force officers located six total meth labs in the vacant home and immediately summoned the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team.

Currently, Heiman and Fields are both being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on individual $100,000.00 bonds.
