HUNTINGTON, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A man seen walking through Huntington with bags loaded with items certainly was not Santa Claus. Unlike Santa, the man in this instance, 23 year old Douglas Garwood, faces drug charges.

Police officers spotted Garwood walking with another person along Etna Avenue Thursday afternoon. Officials say the officers stopped the two to talk, but became suspicious of the garbage bag and duffel bag Garwood was carrying.

When they got permission to search them, police say the officers found meth ingredients and meth-making equipment.

Garwood and the other person were taken into custody and questioned. Garwood was then arrested on felony charges of Attempted Dealing of Methamphetamine and Possession of an Illegal Drug Lab. The other person was released.

Police are stil investigating the case.
