Shwe Charged In Stabbing Death

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - 46-year-old Nyunt Shwe made his first appearance in felony court Wednesday with an official translator provided by the courts.

He's charged with aggravated battery and battery with a deadly weapon, in connection with the stabbing death of 43-year-old Aung Win at the Brendonwood Park Apartments on Fayette Drive on April 8th.

A plea of not guilty was entered on Shwe's behalf and he was assigned a public defender.

His next court appearance for a trial setting hearing will be May 10th.
