FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Shoppers have been camping out at the Best Buy in the Apple Glen Shopping Center since 3 a.m. Thanksgiving Day.

According to researchers, up to 138 million people will shop on Black Friday weekend.

Meanwhile, the Indiana State Police and the Better Business Bureau of Northeast Indiana have a few safety tips:

1. Never lay your purse or bag down, not even for one second.

2. Keep a close eye on your credit and identification cards.

3. Park in well lit areas.

4. Try to park as close as possible to store entrances.

5. Have your keys ready when you are walking back to your car, because fumbling with your keys can make you an easy target.

Most of the customers we spoke with are targeting laptops on sale for less than $200 dollars.

Big Box retailers are battling for your holiday budget.

Target opens at 4 a.m.

Best Buy at 5 a.m.

Walmart is already open but the majority of their Black Friday sales do not start until 5 a.m.
