WASHINGTON (www.incnow.tv) -- The Senate Judiciary Committee voted in favor of the assault weapons ban Thursday on a strictly party-line vote (10-8).

This is a sign that the proposal will have a difficult time surviving the full Senate.

The bill, sponsored by by Senator Dianne Feinstein, (D-Calif.) calls for the banning of semi-automatic weapons with at least one military feature and specifically names 157 weapons which would be prohibited. It would also ban magazine capable of holding more than 10 rounds.
