Sen. Coats and Donnelly Request Meeting With VA Leadership

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Both Indiana U.S. Senators Joe Donnelly and Dan Coats have requested a face-to-face meeting with leaders from the VA.

The senators will want to ask if wait times are possibly being manipulated and if scheduling problems exist at VA health facilities.

In the joint letter sent out by the senators they wrote, "We are troubled by new feedback and the latest news reports that have highlighted concerns about long wait times at a VA Facilities in Indiana. We have a responsibility to our hoosier veterans and all Americans to be transparent about what has gone wrong."
