FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The University of Saint Francis’ Bass Mansion is all decked out for the holidays and tours will be given during the next two weekends.

Christmas in the Castle will be open from noon-6 p.m. on Dec. 3 and 4 and Dec. 10 and 11.

During the two weekends parking for the event will be free where available. Parking lot signs will direct visitors to the check-in area.

Timed tickets and the chance to purchase tickets by mail or online are also available this year. Ticket cost is $5 per person and $20 for a family of six.

Seniors are invited for their own visit time, Senior Day in the Castle, from 2-5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9. Admission charge for the day will be $3 instead of the usual $5 admission. Senior groups wishing to participate in this special day can make reservations by calling Sister Gayle Rusbasan, OSF at 260-399-770, ext. 6706.

Christmas in the Castle opens beautifully restored Brookside, former home of Fort Wayne industrialist John Bass, to the public. The mansion is decorated each Christmas by local florists and designers. All floors are open for the public tours. Brookside and all campus buildings are accessible to people with physical disabilities.
