MORENCI, Mich. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) -- A renewed search is underway to find three southern Michigan boys who disappeared one year ago Friday.
Andrew, Alexander and Tanner Skelton vanished while visiting their father last Thanksgiving and have not been seen since.
Police and volunteers are marking the anniversary by canvassing a highway near the Michigan-Ohio line to try and drum up new leads in the case.
The father, John Skelton, is serving a 10 to 15 year prison sentence after pleading no contest to a false imprisonment charge in July.
He claimed he hid his sons with a group to protect them from their mother, but police have long feared the boys are dead.
A tribute to them will be held on Sunday in their hometown of Morenci.
