ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – It’s that time of year again – for kids to go back to school. Registration began Monday for East Allen County Schools (EACS). Parents can register their kids online or at school.
EACS is offering online registration this year for students who are currently enrolled in the district. Parents can complete online registration so they avoid a trip to the school. By using the new activation code(s) received in the mail, parents can register all their children, even if they attend different schools in the district.
Paige Junk, a parent from New Haven, said she split registration this year by going online and attending the school. She said registering online made things a lot easier for her.
“We did the online registration, which was really easy, really fun. Just five minutes and I was done with two different kids. Then today just coming to fill out more paperwork, just making sure everything is in order to start school next week.”
If you do not have access to the internet, schools will be open with computers available for registration. Parents with students who changed addresses in July or August must register at the school and provide proof of residency.
Online registration will go on through August 14, but parents can attend registration at school through August 15. Student schedules will be available online August 11. The times and dates for registration are as follows:
August 8, Noon – 7 p.m.
August 9, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
August 10, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
August 11, Noon – 7 p.m.
August 12, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
August 15, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Parents are urged to contact their child’s school with any questions.
