UNITED STATES (www.incnow.tv) -- New research reveals more than one quarter of people who have survived melanoma do not use sunscreen.
The Yale University study, presented at the American Academy of Cancer Research meeting, also found that two-percent of survivors said they had used tanning beds in the past year.
These results are based on surveys from 171 patients who recovered from melanoma, which is the deadliest form of skin cancer.
While melanoma patients do a better job of protecting themselves from the sun than the general public, researchers say there's room for improvement.
