TUSCON, Az. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- President Barack Obama revealed that moments after he visited her hospital room, Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona opened her eyes for the first time since being shot, Saturday.

Meanwhile, Wednesday was also the day we learned the suspected gunman wrote about targeting Giffords.

We also learned he was stopped by police and let go, after driving through a stoplight, on Saturday morning.

During the President's speech, he also wanted to pay tribute to those who lost their lives and to help others heal.
