FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Three teenagers are in the hospital following a shooting in the Weisser Park area, according to Fort Wayne Police.

Around 12:30 Monday afternoon, police arrived at a house on the 800 block of Colerick Street and found a teenage boy inside the house with a gunshot wound. Witnesses stated three other suspects ran out of the house and across several yards into Weisser Park.

Police believe more gunshots rang out and the teens ended up at another home in the 800 block of Drexel Avenue.

There, police found two additional shooting victims in or around the home. All three victims were taken to the hospital in fair condition with gunshot wounds to their lower bodies.

Police believe a fourth teen is still on the loose.

21Alive spoke to a neighbor who says she saw at least two of the three teens run across her yard. She said they looked to be anywhere from 14 – 16-years old. The witness told 21Alive the teens were wearing khaki shorts and polo shirts, one red and one white, and one of them had on a one-strap cross-body backpack.

Fort Wayne police are continuing to investigate the incident.
