INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (21Alive) -- Police were outside a home this morning where they believe a suspect in connection to Sunday's deadly cookout shooting was hiding.
According to RTV6, Police believe 30-year-old Joshua Curbeaux was barricaded inside the residence. Curbeaux is suspect of shooting Lisa Farley, 47, in the face Sunday night in an altercation that stemmed from an argument at a cookout.
Curbeaux was later found not to be in the home after police fired tear gas into the house and conducted a search. A short time later Curbeaux turned himself into police custody from a different location.
Curbeaux is the nephew of Wendell Vanbuskirk, who allegedly beat Farley with a bat before he was shot and killed.
