Police: Man Wanted In 2012 Shooting Taken Into Custody

FORT WAYNE, Ind (21Alive) -- Detectives from the Fort Wayne Gang and Violent Crimes Unit and the Vice and Narcotics Division have apprehended a suspect wanted for attempted murder.

According to Fort Wayne Police, Quinn James, a suspect wanted in connection to a 2012 shooting on Standish Drive and Fairfax Avenue, was observed yesterday by police entering a home on 4610 Gaywood Drive. Police proceeded to approach the residence and call him outside, at which time he was taken into custody.

A search warrant was obtained and police found within the residence:

- Two loaded rifles

- One 12ga. Shotgun

-6 ounces of marijuana

-2.2 grams of cocaine

-3 ecstasy tablets

-Drug Paraphernalia

The case is ongoing and further charges are pending.
