DETROIT, Mich. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – In an interview with The Detroit Free Press, Fort Wayne’s Austin Hatch spoke about his plans for the future and his commitment to playing for the University of Michigan Wolverines in 2013.

Despite serious injuries from the June crash, Austin has been on the road to recovery. That road has been slow but steady and according to Austin filled with good and bad days.

As Austin looks towards his future with the Wolverines he credits his family for helping him reach toward his goals. The Wolverine coach has also helped support Austin on his journey. Austin tells The Detroit Free Press, "I'm still going on a full basketball scholarship. I'll still be on the team and all of that and go to practice and everything. But I just don't know if I'll be quite as good as I was before. But I still have over a year until then, so a lot can happen. Some days are more difficult than others as weird as that sounds," Hatch said. "Some days things just kind of hit me. I don't know why, they just do. It's kind of tough because I'm the only one left out of my immediate family. That makes things kind of difficult.”
