WABASH, IN (Indiana's NewsCenter) --- Another setback comes down the pike for convicted murderer Scott Pattison.

Last month, a jury found Pattison guilty of suffocating his wife Lisa with a weighted barbell.

A Wabash County judge Wednesday denied Pattison's motion for a mistrial, and a request to set aside the verdict.

Defense lawyers argued on Monday that juror experimentation on weight equipment during deliberations prejudiced the outcome of the trial.

Pattison's attorneys plan to pursue an appeal.
