WABASH COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – Attorneys for convicted murderer Scott Pattison filed a notice appealing his murder conviction.

Lawyers for Scott Pattison filed the paperwork this week, claiming the jury acted improperly in its deliberations.

Jurors convicted Pattison of murdering his wife in July of 2009, by suffocating her with a barbell on a weight bench in their home.

He was sentenced to 60-years in prison.

But his attorneys argue the jury reached its decision after acting out the crime on the weight equipment, instead of relying on testimony.
