WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind (Indiana's NewsCenter) - One man is in critical condition and four others are injured after a vehicle collision this morning.
Just after 8 a.m. Saturday, Jason Christman, 32, of Columbia City was driving his 1999 Ford F-150 east bound on County Road 800 South. His passengers included Justin Stephens, 31, of Fort Wayne and Ova D. Stephens, 59, of Crossville, Tenn.
Traveling south bound on County Road 600 East was Aaron J. Paul, 23, of Roanoke, driving a 1997 two door Mercury. Also in the car was Andrew O. Paul, 23, from Roanoke.
Aaron Paul said he travels on CR 600 E frequently, but forgot there was a stop sign located at the intersection where the two vehicles crashed. As a result, Paul said he did not see the stop sign until he reached the intersection.
Both Paul's suffered from only minor cuts. However, Christman was flown to Parkview Main with neck and spinal injuries in critical condition. Both passengers in Christman's truck were also transported by ground to Parkview Main with internal chest pains. Ova Stephens was listed in fair condition, however no condition was provided for Justin Stephens.
Aaron Paul was arrested for failure to yield at a through highway.
