Orland Fire Volunteers Battle Early Morning House Fire

ORLAND, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Eleven area departments responded to a house fire at 6503 N 750 W early Tuesday morning.

Residents awoke to the smell of smoke and found the fire in the attached garage area around 5:30am. The fire spread to the 4000 square foot house which was declared a total loss.

Occupants of the residence were not injured, and only one firefighter suffered minor burns. He was treated at the scene.

The fire was under control at just after seven o'clock and firefighters remained on scene for a total of four and one half hours.

The fire was accidental and the investigation is continuing into the actual cause.
