One Injured After 4th of July Parade

LEBANON, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – One person remains hospitalized after an accident during a July 4 parade in Lebanon.

According to investigators, a 14-year-old boy fell from a wagon being used as a youth football float. The incident happened as the parade ended Thursday afternoon.

Several adults and teens were riding on the wagon which was being towed by a pick-up truck. As the vehicle was making a turn into a parking lot, the 14-year-old fell off the float.

At least one wagon tire ran over the teen's chest and abdomen. The teen was taken to a Lebanon hospital and later transferred to Riley Children's Hospital with multiple severe internal injuries.

The impact of the teen's fall also caused two other people to fall from the float.
