FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – Local vendors gathered within the four walls of the Historic Fort downtown.
Christmas at the Fort celebrated it's third year by opening to the public Saturday.
The Old Fort hosted 10 different vendors, activities for children, and even people from the 1800s stopped by for a visit from the past.
Christmas at the Fort is one of the many stops the Holly Trolley makes on its way through downtown Fort Wayne.
"Remembering where we've been and how good we have it today, I think is a great experience especially for young people. Cooking over an open fire, understanding that we didn't have microwaves or CDs, or many of the conveniences that we experience today. I think it's refreshing to be outdoors, and come here to the Fort on a beautiful day like this, and of course we love to celebrate just like anybody else,” said Bob Jones, a volunteer at the Historic Fort.
Christmas at the Fort is just one of the many events the Old Fort holds monthly.
