Officials Blaming Feed For Recent Egg Recall

IOWA (Indiana's NewsCenter) - We now know what led to the nationwide salmonella outbreak.

Federal officials say feed given to hens at the Iowa farms is the likely source of contamination resulting the massive egg recall.

The USDA says it is possible the feed became contaminated after going through a heat treatment process that did not properly kill the bacteria.
