FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Fort Wayne City and Allen County officials have come to terms on where specific offices will be situated in the Renaissance Square Building.
City Controller Pat Roller says public meeting rooms will be in the basement; city utilities and the county building department will locate on the first floor.
The Board of Health will take up residence on the third floor, while the mayor and county commissioners will set up on the top floor.
Roller says they want to minimize enclosed offices.
Roller says, “That open concept that that building has is very conducive to doing business, and we believe that it'll create more productivity. There's more brainstorming kind of sessions that go on in an open concept."
City-County Building renovations are still being worked out.
Construction on Renaissance will start at the end of next month, with the completion date expected in April 2011.
