INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels rescinded the new security restrictions placed at the Indiana Statehouse that would have limited how many visitors could gather at the Statehouse.
The 3,000 people cap was a huge issue for Indiana union leaders who had complained that the new measure was an attempt to limit their rights to protest.
Daniels said he made the decision to reverse the restrictions after getting input from the public.
Daniels said he concluded that the Statehouse is a special place and that critics of the policy, including Democrats, made good points.
