UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - For the first time in about 20-years, illegal immigration has reportedly dropped.

A study shows the number of illegal immigrants living in the U.S. fell by 8-percent from 2007 to 2009.

Researchers site tougher border enforcement and the bad economy as reasons for the decline.

An estimated 11-million illegal immigrants lived in the U.S. last year, representing about 4-percent of the country's population.
