NEW HAVEN, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - New Haven City Council members are taking steps to keep the synthetic drug K2 out of their city.

At Tuesday night's city council meeting, an ordinance will be introduced that would ban the purchase, possession, and sale of the marijuana-like substance in New Haven.

Although it's sold legally as incense in Indiana users, many of them teens, smoke it to get “high.”

Fort Wayne City Council is also considering regulation and Fort Wayne Community Schools recently voted to ban the drug.
