National Spelling Bee Contestant Faces Off Against NBC33's Eric Defreeuw (VIDEO)

AVILLA, Ind. (www.nbc33.com) -- A few weeks ago, a 14-year-old girl from Avilla was in the competition of a lifetime, she got to represent our region in the National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C.

While she correctly spelled her two words, she did not have enough points to advance to the semi-finals.
