Fourth of July Motorcycle Ride Turns into Double Fatal Accident

Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – A holiday motorcycle accident has claimed the life of a husband and wife.

Preliminary reports indicate that a passenger car was traveling southbound on Ardmore and crossed the center line striking the motorcycle, ridden by 56-year-old James Hendrickson, Jr. and his wife 50-year-old Catherine, head-on.

The motorcycle accident occurred just after noon on Wednesday at the intersection of Ardmore and Covington.

James H. was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife Catherine was transported to a local hospital in critical condition where she later passed away from her injuries.

The Hendrickson’s were not wearing helmets.
