FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – The local chapter of the Mirror Me Foundation, Inc. held a walk to raise awareness for all types of cancer.

Cancer awareness supporters walked about four miles through downtown Fort Wayne Sunday afternoon. The group, Mirror Me Foundation, Inc., held a similar walk last year to raise awareness for breast cancer, but this year, the president says she wanted to do a walk to raise awareness for all types of cancer.

“I think it's important to get the message about cancer out so that people can be educated and they can know that if it hits someone in their family or them personally how they can handle it,” said Mirror Me President Nina Carter.

The group was also collecting donations to give to the American Cancer Society in support of cancer research.
