FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- Co-Chairman and Co-CEO Hank Meijer announced that six new super centers and five remodel projects will be completed this year which will add more than 1,500 jobs in Michigan, Illinois and Indiana.

None of the Indiana stores are included in the remodel but the $160 million investment in the Midwest includes 2 new Indiana super centers, one in Portage and the other in Warsaw. Each new store that opens provides at least 250 full- and part-time jobs.

“We are pleased to continue to invest in the Midwest communities that have supported us for so long,” Hank Meijer said. “By keeping prices low and maintaining our focus on customer service, we have been able to continue to grow during a tough economic cycle.”
