FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) -- Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry is not worrying much about the threat that his defeated opponent in Tuesday's election will sue him for defamation.

Both Henry and Republican Paula Hughes went heavy with negative ads in the mayoral campaign.

Hughes was particularly incensed by a Henry mailer that suggested she failed to pay taxes on a struggling business venture.
Hughes has hinted she might address the issue in the courts.

Mayor Tom Henry, (D) Fort Wayne says, "That certainly is an option that she has. I don't think that it will go anywhere."

Henry conceded the campaign was at times "brutal", but he says both sides followed the same script.
