FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Melissa Long sits down with Marissa Lynch, state Field Director for School Choice Indiana, to discuss changes in the state's school voucher program on Wednesday’s In Depth.

Marissa Lynch tells us that parents should be aware of changes to the voucher program such as allowing special needs children into the program. Also, current private school families are eligible for a tax credit scholarship.

Lynch also informs us that there is a website for families to find out if they are eligible for the school voucher. The link to that page is included here.

Also on Wednesday night, a meeting was held at St. John the Baptist School to inform parents about the voucher program.

The voucher program first started in July of 2011 and allows part of a student's public education funding to follow them to the participating school of their choice.

There are many factors in telling whether your family qualifies or not. For example, officials say a family of four making $65,000 a year could qualify for a voucher.
