FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – The famed grand piano that once sat atop Fred Myers Piano, Organs and Clocks was taken down by crane today and donated to the Foellinger Theatre.

Fred Myers Piano also donated two stained glass windows: one of a boy playing the piano and one of a girl playing the piano.

Mike Thompson, Manager of Foellinger Theatre, said the piano will sit atop the theatre’s roof. He said patrons will know of the donation Fred Myers Piano made to the theatre.

Today he said, “They will remember Fred Myers' piano store and will also remember that that's what we do out there. We do concerts and so that piano will become our symbol too.”
