FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- It was a night of hope for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Northern Indiana.
The group held its 19th annual gala auction to benefit Lou Gehrig's Disease or ALS and the MDA of Northern Indiana. 21Alive's Linda Jackson emceed the event.
Hundred's of people came out to bid on items in both a live and silent auction. For the first time, bids were able to be taken through a bidder's smart phone. All of the local MDA's funds are raised through events like this, with 77 cents of every dollar going back to local services.
