Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – Lutheran Hospital’s main lobby is being restored.

The main lobby will be closed starting Monday. Then the remodeling will begin.

The people who worked on making this project a reality said the new design is meant to be friendlier for patients and visitors.

The remodeling will include the moving of the information desk, the take down of some of the pillars to make it feel more open and new flooring that will be easier for people in wheelchairs.

While the renovations are going on, the chapel near the main lobby will also be closed.

The renovation project is costing around $460,000.
