FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – A local woman will drive a U-Haul full of clothing and blankets to the East Coast to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Sunday afternoon wrapped up Carrie Grubbs’ clothing and blanket drive for victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Grubbs’ goal was to fill a U-Haul truck full of items she’s been collecting for about two weeks. Sunday afternoon, she successfully reached her goal.
“The East Coast storm really affected me, I have a lot of family and friends on the East Coast and I just wanted to give back,” she said.
Grubbs will begin her trek to New Jersey on Monday to meet with the Atlantic City Rescue Mission. While there, she plans to talk with victims and view the damage.
