FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Monday morning kicked off with a prayer breakfast, honoring members of the clergy for outstanding work in the church and community.

Held at the downtown Courtyard by Mariott hotel, the Martin Luther King Club of Fort Wayne hosted its third annual Breakfast with the Clergy.

One local pastor described the various ministries at his church, including teams who go to nursing homes, others who volunteer for transportation, and a television program on a local access channel.

Pastor Lester Bush of Dupree Memorial Church of God says, “The Bible says to do whatever your hands find to do. So we try to be as active in our community as we can, trying to bring people together. And most of all, share what God has given us."

Lester Bush was voted as the Pastor of the Year by the Martin Luther King-Junior Club.
