AMBERLEY VILLAGE, Ohio - A community gathered Tuesday night to pray for the full recovery of an Ohio boy who was one of three children struck by lightning at an Indianapolis summer camp Saturday.
The lightning strike injured three children at the Goldman Union Camp Institute, including one critically. Ethan Kadish was among the children who were hurt, ABC affiliate WCPO reported.
Kadish was still hospitalized at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis with serious injuries.
"Please know, the safety of your children is our highest priority," Rabbi Mark Covitz said a message posted on the Facebook page of the Reform Jewish summer camp.
The vigil for Kadish was held at a synagogue near Cincinnati.
The two other children injured, both 9 years old, were a Chesterfield, Mo., girl, and a Kentucky boy, possibly from Louisville, police said. They were both released from the hospital Monday.
