Late Night Duplex Fire; One Person in Serious Condition (video)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Fire crews had their hands full with a fire that filled a second floor apartment with smoke.

It happened in the 1000 block of Lincoln Avenue at around 12:15 a.m. Monday night. When fire crews arrived, they noticed heavy smoke spewing out of the duplex style apartment. Crews pinpointed the fire near the attic of the home and worked to put it out.

They were able to get it under control shortly before 1 a.m. Monday morning. At least one person was sent to the hospital in serious condition, but we do not know what type of injuries the victim suffered. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
