Alleged Stun Gun Robber Tased by FWPD

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – The Fort Wayne Police Department announced Tuesday that it has caught the alleged robber that used a stun gun on a Pettit Ave. Kroger store employee.

36-year-old Billye D. Gaulden of Fort Wayne was located by police Monday evening in the 900 block of McKinnie Ave after having to chase after him on foot.

Gaulden is charged with Robbery, Unlawful Use of Stun Gun, two counts of Resisting Law Enforcement, and failing to appear for criminal trespassing.

As an additional result Gaulden’s female accomplice was identified and police are now searching for her.

Police say the two were caught shoplifting at the Kroger on Pettit Avenue just before 11:30 AM Thursday (2/16/2011).

When the employee confronted the couple Gaulden reportedly pulled out a stun gun and shocked the employee.
