Komets Add CHL MVP, Veteran Defenseman

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The Komets Tuesday announced the signings of Central Hockey League MVP forward Brandon Marino and veteran defenseman Tyler Butler.

the 24 year old Marino's deal took almost four weeks to pull together, and brings the CHL scoring leader with 41 goals and 90 points at Quad City to Fort Wayne to continue to add scoring punch to the Komets.

The 33 year old Butler had ten goals and 39 points with Arizona last season, and had been the Sun Dogs captain the past two seasons.

The signings bring the Komets' preseaon total to eight, with more to come.
