FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - City and county officials are calling Monday night's public open house at Citizen's Square a huge success.

While a large number turned out Monday night, it was much slower at the new government center on Tuesday.

Visitors will find many of the services they need located on the first floor, we followed one family as they pursued a birth certificate. They were impressed by the building and the wait time.

Fort Wayne resident Angela Willis says, “Everyone was pretty helpful, we stopped at the customer service desk and they directed me where to go. I thought everyone was pretty friendly.”

City of Fort Wayne Spokesperson Frank Suarez says, “If someone comes down and they have to go to multiple departments, how can we make that easier for them and I think we're going to continue to see that kind of collaboration.”

The mayor's office told Indiana’s NewsCenter the building has only some minor touch up work left to be complete.
