INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (21Alive) -- Police have arrested the woman who left her baby in a trash can Friday Night.

Twenty-two year-old Briana Holland was taken into custody Saturday morning on a preliminary charge of neglect of a dependent, Indianapolis Metro Police said.

The baby was found in a bathroom of the United Technology Carrier Corporation on West Morris Street just after 8 p.m. according to officials.

The child was then transported to the Riley Hospital for Children where it was confirmed by officials that the baby was in good condition.

IMPD issued a reminder to residents Saturday morning that Indiana's Safe Haven Law allows a person to anonymously give up an infant without fear of arrest or prosecution.
