INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Attorneys for Secretary of State Charlie White hope the courts will slow the process in removing their client from office.

The state's recount commission met Wednesday morning and set a hearing date of June 21st, just days before White's criminal trial on seven felony counts including voter fraud.

White's attorney contends any decision made by the commission could damage their criminal case.

White's attorney announced Wednesday they plan to file with the Indiana Appeals Court to slow the process.
