FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – Imagine schools continue to vote to appeal Ball State University’s decision not to renew their charters.

The school board for Imagine School on Broadway unanimously voted Sunday to appeal Ball State University’s decision to not renew their charter. On Saturday, the board for Imagine Masters Academy did the same thing.

However, Ball State University says the three Fort Wayne charter schools, whose charters are set to expire at the end of the school year, shouldn't be surprised about the decision.

According to our partner in news, The Journal Gazette, the university says the three schools haven't shown sufficient improvement in student test scores.

Ball State officials say the charter schools were given plenty of time to review the performance data that was used in making the decision. But, regional director of imagine schools says she is surprised, stating the schools have made a lot of changes and they've seen promising data with substantial gains.

Imagine on Broadway is holding a meeting with parents to discuss alternative options. It’ll be held at the school Monday, Jan. 28 at 5 p.m.
