BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (21Alive) – Indiana University was on high alert while police searched for two armed individuals near campus early this morning.

The alert was lifted just before 8 a.m. Sunday and police arrested two suspects a short time later.

The IU Police Department says between 3:30 and 4 a.m., a 20-year old IU student was hospitalized after a fight with two other males in the parking lot of Tulip Tree Apartments.

Witnesses told investigators three men had been standing in the parking lot arguing, and then two of the men began chasing the other, and then stabbed him with a knife.

IU police say 18-year old Zesen Shen and 21-year old Kaiyu Lao were arrested in connection with the stabbing.

Authorities are not releasing the victim's name at this point, but they did say his injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
